Ok, its Saturday morning and you are already pumped about the big game tomorrow afternoon. You have all your friends coming over for your football watch party, and you have all your breakable items moved away from the viewing area (you did this, right?).

The only thing left is to decide on the menu. You can always go the easy route and order in some pizza and wings, but you know that your posse has decided to work hard to maintain their fitness goals through this holiday season.

Guacamole has always been a fan favorite on game day, and the good news is that this delicious treat is healthy when compared with other options.

The beauty of this dish is that is made entirely from veggies, and we all know how good vegetables are for our bodies. Avocados are especially beneficial as they are loaded with fiber and heart healthy fats that work to lower cholesterol.

I have provided a link to a great recipe from here. Bonus hint – make sure to use the garlic cloves and NOT dried garlic powder. This really makes a difference! Also, add in some spice by throwing in a few fresh diced Jalapenos.

Lemon Drop Chicken Wings

The tangy flavor takes away from the fact that they are baked, while giving them a hint of tart in your mouth.

If you are like me and prefer your wings a little on the smokey / dry rub side try leaving them in the oven for an additional 5 minutes.

As an added bonus, mix in some cracked black pepper for a taste of heat.
